About the Church
This pretty little 11th century church lies close to the mouth of the River Arun. Sandstone and flint have been used for the walls, making an attractively textured combination and the tiled roof is topped by a dazzling white bellcote. St. Andrew's interior is pleasingly simple with a plain Norman chancel arch and partially exposed medieval wall paintings. There is no mains electricity so lighting is provided by candles and a generator. The atmosphere is very special in this holy place.
