Moment of Reflection

Journeys.

How have you got to the place where you are today? Hard work, pleasure, pain, happiness, sadness? Each person has their own story to tell. Many of us can point to moments of serendipity that have moved us on, leading us to places we didn't expect to be, often before we ourselves, are aware of what is happening. Some people often look at their spiritual journey and call such moments-chance or Kismet, but in doing so miss profound truths and treasures in their lives.

St Paul lived a life of academic excellence,a man with high standing in his community, one to whom others looked up to but when he came to a crossroads in his life, a moment where his life was in a turmoil, instead of holding on to the old familiar things that gave him security and power, he chose to take a new path.

'Whatever gains were for me I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ..'

What about us on our Spiritual journey? Now could be a good moment to take stock,to consider where are we are going. Are we aware of God's gentle nudge in our lives-moments of coincidence or God-incidence? You decide.
