to the web site for our 3 Churches. We are all Anglican churches that have been brought together into what is called a 'Benefice'. We are organised into 2 Parishes - Clymping and then Yapton with Ford. This explains why we are '1, 2, 3' - One Benefice, two Parishes and three Churches. Each Parish has its own decision making process (called Parochial Church Councils or PCC's) but we share the general administration. We have one paid leader, Richard Hayes our Rector, and lots of others who lead and help run the churches. You will get a flavour of what we are all like through this site, but to really get to understand us you need to meet us, to visit the various congregations, so do come along and join us at one of our services, and give us the privilege of meeting you as well. Our purpose statement is to be a place where there is a 'DRAWING TOGETHER of PEOPLE, CHURCH & GOD'. We are not a big, know it all type of Church, we try to be pretty good churches. If you want a perfect bunch of people, or leadership, or Worship Service then keep looking - we are a bunch of people who simply want to worship God in a variety of honest ways, follow Jesus and do things his way and seek to do this by the strength of the Holy Spirit. This is also part of the 'One, two, three' - The Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit - who invites us to draw deeper into relationship with. We realise people experience God in different ways so there is no one style of service, but we do think worship is important along with teaching from the bible that speaks to us today. We are a variety of styles and expressions of the Christian faith, but we are being drawn together and closer to God, you'd be really welcome to join us to be a part of that journey. |
